Luke Zocchi, Hemsworth’s trainer, said in an interview with Page Six that the actor eats a lot more than usual to get bigger for the role. “When we start getting ready for movies like Thor, we need a lot more food,” Zocchi said. “He eats somewhere between six and eight times a day.”

Every Two Hours, He Eats
Hemsworth eats every two hours throughout the day to make sure he’s eating enough to build muscle but not so much that he’s too tired to train.
“He found that when he eats a really big meal, he feels too full, so they’re eight 450-calorie meals,” Zocchi told Page Six. “We try to eat every two hours, and each meal has 450 calories.”

Every Morning, He Drinks a Green Shake
Hemsworth starts his day off right by starting his meal plan with a smoothie.
“Chris’s day always starts with a big green shake made of 5 or 6 different kinds of leafy greens and vegetables, low-glycemic fruits, nuts, seeds, fats, and small amounts of sea salt,” Sergio Perera, who works with Hemsworth as a chef, told Men’s Health. The shake helps with electrolyte balance, nerve transmission, and glucose metabolism.

He Eats Red Meat to Get Energy
Hemsworth usually eats more meat to make sure he gets enough protein to help him build muscle.
“Chris eats a little more red meat than he normally does, but he only eats it during the day because it takes more energy to digest. Unless he works out later at night, in which case he might have a lamb chop afterward “Perera said this to Men’s Health.
