El Diario, The Longest-Running Spanish-language Daily Newspaper in the United States, Will Host Its 2025 “EL Awards” Ceremony

NEW YORK, Oct. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — El Diario, the longest-running Spanish-language daily newspaper, will honor 21 influential Latino men who serve as role models to a new generation at the 2025 EL Awards ceremony. The honorees are nominated by the community and finalists are then selected by El Diario’s editorial team. Featuring exceptional voices within the Hispanic community is part of the publication’s long standing mission and goal toward elevating those making a difference.

The ceremony will take place at The Harvard Club from 12pm – 3pm in New York City, and the honorees will be featured in a special supplement, which will be available in the Sunday edition of El Diario on October 12, 2025. El Diario is also honored to present its ‘Mujeres Destacadas,’ an awards program recognizing outstanding Latinas in the tri-state area for their unparalleled contributions. Nominations for ‘Mujeres Destacadas’ will open in January 2026

“This year’s honorees are beacons of hope—educators shaping future generations, artists and chefs elevating our culture, community leaders lending a hand, doctors caring for our health, entrepreneurs creating opportunity, journalists reporting with integrity, and advocates driving justice. Each embodies the resilience and spirit of our people. Their stories remind us that no obstacle can stop a community that stands firm in its values, inspiring new generations to believe anything is possible and to keep working toward a future of dignity and hope.” said Rafael Cores, SVP, Hispanic Content.
